viciouskitty74 SG I am kinda getting a lot more hits on my meetic profile. Must be the holidays getting to the men. Suddenly, they are noticing my profile and sending me winks/icebreakers. Why? Chinese New Year coming, Valentines day coming iszit? Or someone they can go out with for New Years?
av98m SG Holiday season is when lonely people feel the loneliest mah... so how many propositions has your friend received after showing up in the bar?
viciouskitty74 SG Its a traffic jam. Everyone just want to get out of. Its worse on a motorcycle cos the engine is heating up and you are breathing in the exhaust fumes of every darn vehicle trapped in that traffic jam. Not to mention the hot sun. Drivers in cars can wait patiently because they have the aircon on. its even worse if its drizzling. Its cold, hot & road is slippery.
laurence82 SG i fear for motorcyclists one friend's cousin died in an accident, resulting in a ban on motorbike riding throughout the family someone from my sch died in an accident just outside the sch, she was riding a bike the army had so many accidents with bikes they had to send these chaps for defensive riding
the Bear SG riding too fast on a small bike without the strength to manhandle the bike out of the way.. then skidding on a wet road and unable to pull the bike out of the skid.. basically panicking, then the tailwhip causing them to be totally out of control... another thing.. it was raining, those taking cover under the bridge were riders of BIG bikes.. those still speeding like lunatics were maniacs on the little plastic bikes (mostly malaysian bikes)
viciouskitty74 SG I didnt check with her. I never initiate a IM unless its really urgent. And she thinks I am angry. Frankly, I was smirking my head off after my initial posting there. My anger had evaporated long time ago. Am hoping we can continue arguing like that on bar. Seems more interesting this way to help her tease.
the Bear SG one of my neighbours "killed" one... ran into a motorcyclist with her car... motorcyclist ran through the red lights just outside the ITE junction
viciouskitty74 SG And squeezing in between cars and lanes. I never liked that unless its warm and sunny and the road is dry. Singapore's road lines are done with cheap china paints that are really slippery when wet. I liked riding in the rain. But if it means I stay stuck behind a car. I will continue to do so. Not worth it risking a skid in between cars. You might go down scratching both cars and dont have enough space to manuver your bike upright from fallen positions.
laurence82 SG actually traffic outside that ITE is usually heavy, and there are only so few lanes whoever managed to get into an accident must be riding/driving recklessly
the Bear SG saturday around 2pm i remember because i saw the cops taking statement and the ambulance crew there... found out that the motorcyclist died later...
elindra SG Common. My friend's brother n gf was killed in motorbike accident too SO's friend is paralysed waist down and needs to breathe thru a breathing tube from a motobike accident too. He keeps saying he is better off dead and he is the sole breadwinner too
viciouskitty74 SG Thats usually the case, he knows he is in the wrong and is worried about you claiming against him. Nesides compensation issues, he also may have to pay traffic fines and demerit points. So likely he wont want to incurr more costs. And no..not recommended for you to transport him to hospital. Liability issues.
viciouskitty74 SG Sometimes, accidents arent truly the faults of motorcyclist. I've known of riders, innocently waiting for their green lights at junction and gets runs down by speeding cars dashing the red lights. I still has not forgetten how my hit and run driver looks like. Nor his female passenger. May they know karma.
the Bear SG just asking.. isn't weaving between cars against the law or something? anyway, i have this sudden craving for crab
the Bear SG forget about the liability... the need of an injured person is much more important than liability or whatever.. i guess i'm like that.. use things, love people, never the other way around with an attitude like that, i'm usually screwed
viciouskitty74 SG Careless driving to dangerous/reckless driving. Driving explains the same to riding. Riding in between lanes/sharing lanes arent. Which one you are actually thinking of?
